My life sucks - that was me 3 years ago

I used to be lost with no sense of direction, just going through life without enjoying it. My stress level was very high and I was feeling overwhelmed and anxious all the time.

Today, I’m a fulfilled dad, doing what I love daily and reaching my goals while spending time with my family.
When I wake up every morning, I am eager to start the day and get started.

Everything I do has a purpose and I know helps me progress toward my goals and makes me proud and happy.

Here’re 10 tips you can’t afford to ignore to live your best life:

Define your values and how you want to prioritize them. It helps you make every decision with the confidence that it’s not taking over what’s more important to you.

You might value your kids more than your job or vice versa. There's no right or wrong answer.

But knowing this and communicating it to your partner, and yourself will make every decision much easier.

When I felt lost, I had no idea who I wanted to be.

Visualize where you want to go. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just get moving to realize whether you’re going in the right direction.

Hack to get started: write down your obituary. It’s morbid but it works. Figure out where you wanna be in 5 years.

Don’t set goals based on others. Create them based on your future identity.

Break them all the way down to your daily actions so you can be confident that you’re moving every day towards a better self (and the one you designed).

Big changes come from small, consistent actions. Start with a small habit, commit to it daily, and watch it compound over time.

Whether you want to become the new Dwayne Johnson or not, you can’t do anything if you’re not in shape. Your body is your vehicle. Treat it like your life depends on it. Because it does.

You can become the most productive person for a week, but if you don’t enjoy life, you’ll slowly lose productivity, motivation, and direction.

No to mention the fact that you only have one life. People not enjoying life are not successful.

Being patient taught me one thing:

Do what you love to do and fall in love with the process.

If you’re impatient, it’s because there’s something you don’t like about your day-to-day. If it’s the case, go back to step 1 (find your values and set your future identity).

This one is a game changer.

Surround yourself with positivity: people, environment, what you see everyday. Create an environment that keeps you positive all day long: stop watching the news, cut the relationships you know bring nothing but bad vibes, focus on the good things in your life.

All the planning in the world is not gonna change the fact that you still haven’t done the 10 push-ups you said you were gonna do.

Spend less time planning and more time doing. Try 20% planning and 80% doing.

You can’t have success without it. Learn from your failures and avoid repeating the same mistakes.

If you don’t learn, you can’t adapt and you’re stuck in a vicious cycle. See every failure as an opportunity to grow and gain clarity.

Everything’s not gonna be perfect from the get go. Regularly assess and adjust (every 6 months is a good start).

It’ll help you get started in the beginning, knowing that you can always adapt and change trajectory over time.
